Harper has experience conducting complex and sensitive investigations for clients in the private and public sectors. Her clients include Fortune 100 companies, start-ups, and non-profits in the technology, entertainment, sports, healthcare, hospitality, and financial services industries. She has investigated allegations of race discrimination, gender discrimination, disability discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, bullying, protected leaves of absence, retaliation, and whistleblower claims. Harper has conducted investigations involving employees at all levels of the organization, including executives, managers, and staff in union and non-union environments.

Harper’s public sector clients include cities, counties, school districts, and Universities. Prior to law school, Harper worked in higher education administration. She has represented multiple colleges and universities and has co-authored several publications on legal trends in higher education.

Before joining Van Dermyden Makus, Harper was a civil litigator at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where her practice focused on high-stakes litigation for technology, media, entertainment, and sports clients.  She has litigated allegations of sexual misconduct and harassment, bullying, fraud, and corporate and legal ethics violations.   Harper also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Jesus G. Bernal of the Central District of California.
