Katie is a Senior Attorney Investigator with Van Dermyden Makus Law Corporation.  Her practice focuses on conducting workplace and Title IX campus investigations.

Katie Ebert is an experienced attorney with nearly five years of expertise in workplace investigations. She approaches each investigation with professionalism and a strong commitment to impartiality. Katie has conducted investigations for a diverse range of organizations, spanning from large corporations to small businesses, as well as government agencies and educational institutions. This background allows Katie to effectively address the unique needs and challenges of organizations of all sizes and sectors.

Katie also has extensive experience handling complex and sensitive matters, including those involving multiple allegations, numerous parties, and senior executives and officials. She routinely conducts investigations into claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, bullying, and other policy violations.

Before specializing in workplace investigations, Katie spent over eight years as a litigator, representing clients in a wide array of cases involving employment law, business disputes, and other civil matters. This experience has given Katie a strong understanding of the legal landscape and refined her ability to handle complex investigations.

Katie graduated in the top twenty percent of her class from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. During law school, she was a Note and Comment Editor for the Loyola of Los Angeles International and Comparative Law Review and a Law Clerk in the Education Advocacy Program with the Disability Rights Legal Center. Prior to law school, Katie graduated from U.C. Santa Barbara with honors.
